Our Erasmus+ partnership is not a promise on paper — our staff have already crossed the border. In September 2026, FUNIC spent a full week at the Netherlands Business Academy in Breda for a training-for-trainers staff mobility. Here is what happened.
In September 2026, a FUNIC staff delegation travelled to Breda, the Netherlands, for a one-week Erasmus+ staff mobility hosted by the Netherlands Business Academy (NLBA). It was a training-for-trainers week: intensive sessions on modern teaching and training practice, workshops with NLBA faculty, and working meetings on the mechanics of Erasmus+ mobility between our two institutions.
The exchange went both ways. NLBA colleagues shared their practice in competency-based education, work-based learning and the mechanics of Erasmus+ international credit mobility. In return, our staff brought a Cameroonian and African perspective into NLBA classrooms and discussions — from entrepreneurship education in emerging markets to the opportunities and realities of mobility from Central Africa.
Because it was a training-for-trainers mobility, the benefits multiply: the FUNIC staff trained in Breda now carry those methods into classrooms at home. Insights from the week are feeding into programme reviews and joint curriculum development, our teams hold first-hand knowledge of Erasmus+ preparation and hosting, and the groundwork is laid for the first FUNIC student mobilities to Breda.
