Credit Recognition and Transfer for University of Buea Awarded Programmes
Students enrolled in University of Buea degree programmes delivered at FUNIC Cameroon Higher Institute of Entrepreneurship and Technology are subject to the academic regulations, credit system and quality assurance framework of the University of Buea.
Academic Credit System
University of Buea programmes operate under the Licence–Master–Doctorate (LMD) credit system, which is aligned with the harmonised higher education framework adopted across the CEMAC region.
- Academic programmes are organised using a semester credit system.
- Credits measure the total student workload required to achieve the learning outcomes of a course.
- One academic year normally comprises 60 credits.
- A Bachelor's degree requires at least 180 credits.
- A Master's degree requires at least 120 credits.
- A Doctoral programme requires at least 180 credits.
Student Mobility and Credit Transfer
Credit transfer for University of Buea programmes follows the University's official regulations governing student mobility. The regulations provide for transfer between recognised institutions, temporary and permanent transfers, recognition of credits earned elsewhere, approval procedures, processing timelines and academic recognition of successfully completed study periods.
International Student Mobility
Students participating in Erasmus+, exchange programmes, study abroad opportunities or other international mobility schemes are encouraged to obtain prior approval of their Learning Agreement before commencing their mobility period.
